Schools of Thought

Islam has four main legal school, known in Arabic as Madhaahib (sing. Madhhab). Traditionally, all Muslims would follow one of these madhaahib. It is my assertion that these legal schools are the only way to find authentic rulings. The schools constitute rulings on every practical issue for Muslims, from how to pray to punative law.
